I have the honour to enolose herewith copy of the Resolution
No.74 dated the 28th inst.,by which you are commissioned, in virtue
of the verbal offer you have made, that in association with senor Pablo Asa,you make a study of the commercial and industrial pro- ducts of each region that you visit in your proposed journey from this city to those Departments of the Atlantic Coast, and arrange for the collection of samples of such products in sufficient
quantity for exhibitionin this city and for transmission to the Bureaus of Information of this country and in the Exterior. Bu are
equally commissioned to initiate the work in connection with the
production of the Carta Agricola of the Nation.
The country has great hopes of your illustrious and vast
agricultural knowledge, and for the very valuable services you are affording, anticipate my grateful thanks,
